I love this! Setting timers is key for me as well because it keeps me on task and also helps it to seem more manageable. Rather than committing to declutterring for an undefined possibly astronomical (in my head) amount of time, I’m just committing to declutter until the timer goes off
Thank you for sharing these tips! One thing I try to do is that when I pick up an item, I put it right back where it belongs. That obviously doesn't always work (especially when you have kids) but it's something that I at least try to keep in the back of my mind to avoid clutter from even piling up.

I only started using a timer when decluttering about a year ago and game changer!

Such simple but great advice! I feel like I have to remind myself daily of this in my bathroom or I end up with a cluttered vanity top quickly.
